Qld:Tiger cub "meet and greet" goes purrrfectly
Two nine-month-old tiger cubs checked out three of their larger playmates in a meeting
this morning at Dreamworld on Queensland's Gold Coast.
Nine-week-old Bengal tiger cubs KATO and his sister KAASHA were introduced to white
tiger MOHAN and his yellow-striped offspring RAMA and SITA at the Tiger Island display
at Gold Coast theme park Dreamworld.
ANDY GOLDFARB, assistant manager of Tiger Island, says that until today, KATO and KAASHA
had been spending their time between their air conditioned nursery and their cub playground.
KATO and KAASHA will permanently relocate from their nursery area to Tiger Island when
they're around four months old and big enough to hold their own.
Two other adult tigers, SULTAN and TAJ, weren't at today's meeting because the presence
of too many big cats might have overwhelmed the youngsters.
